Some really interesting data has emerged that shows there are ‘upside down’ canyons below the Antarctic ice.
That should slow you down to picture what that looks like. Driven by currents created as the earth rotates, water from below is eating away at the ice above, creating at least one enormous canyon.
This phenomenon does fit the narrative of global warming but, while really interesting, also doesn’t support the notion that it occurs because of the impact of humanity on the planet.
That’s an interesting debate which others can tackle. Unfortunately those convinced that rising sea levels are all the fault of humans and that we have to spend massive amounts of money to ‘fix’ it; don’t really want to debate but want to insist we all have to be in lock-step with them.
They would be better served by addressing the very real problem of plastic that pollutes our oceans (and land) and is causing increasing problems that are not going away. That’s observable; it can’t be denied; and money does need to be spent to fix it; and humans do need to change their ways, so it can be addressed.
It is a real problem facing our world and it is so obvious that change has to happen …. plastic change … not climate change should be the catch-cry.
